Sports Psychology
Sport Psychology is a field dedicated to enhancing human performance by reducing mental barriers and maximizing an individual’s potential. We focus on the mental and emotional aspects of performance. The process generally involves: clarifying what you would like to achieve; assessing your strengths and liabilities; working with you to develop a plan to help you achieve your goals; and serving as an ongoing consultant as you reach your goal.
Topics typically covered in consultations include, but are not limited to: goal setting, competition anxiety, coping with injury, motivation, visualization, emotional control, energy management, focus and concentration, and developing pre-competition routines.
