Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Testing
Your resting metabolic rate is how many calories your body burns in a 24-hour period at rest. Based on your unique metabolic rate, we can accurately calculate the number of calories you burn while performing normal daily activities. Knowing your specific metabolism will allow you to make smart and informed decisions concerning caloric intake. You will learn if you have a slow, normal or fast metabolism and we will determine your target caloric zones for weight loss and maintenance.
The test is performed by breathing into a mouthpiece while sitting or lying down. In order to achieve the most accurate results it is best to perform the test in the morning after having fasted for eight hours and avoiding any type of exercise before the test. Upon completion of the test, we will provide you with a comprehensive metabolic report that addresses your metabolic speed, daily calorie budget, energy balance and suggested caloric adjustments to reach your individual goals.
